You asked, we listened! Ada’s chat is getting an overhaul. The new streamlined design looks better and has improved accessibility support, so the chat experience is better for everyone.
Take a look below for a sneak peek of the changes coming to Ada’s chat, as well as our new suite of Advanced Branding features.
In the new design, the chat will appear as a compact window that sits at the bottom right corner of the page, and will dynamically resize for smaller screens.
The bot name and agent name will now be visible in the chat header. Plus, they can be configured in multiple languages!
Consistent brand colour
Your brand colour will now be applied consistently across all parts of the chat experience, including buttons and Predictive Suggestions.
Predictive Suggestions in the style of Quick Replies
Moving forward, Predictive Suggestions will be styled in the same way as quick replies, improving usability and consistency.
Add a description to your bot
Give customers additional context with the new bot description. Easily add a description that will appear at the start of a new chat— plus you can set a bot avatar and name, too.
Every message will now have a timestamp that appears on hover (desktop), tap (mobile), or keyboard focus (when using keyboard navigation).
Improved support for accessibility
The new chat is WCAG 2.1 compliant and is adjusted for colour contrast, keyboard navigation, and screen readers. To ensure there's always enough contrast when using your brand colour, the chat will automatically make adjustments if the chosen colour doesn’t have enough contrast with surrounding elements.
No-code customization with Advanced Branding
In addition to the new chat UI, we’re also launching 5 new Advanced Branding features that let you further customize the style of your bot, without the need for code!
Advanced Branding features:
- Custom header colour
- Chat button with custom text
- Configurable font sizes
- Chat bubble styles
- Dark mode
