Overview

You can allow chatters to download a transcript of their chat. When the Download Transcript feature is active, a chatter can click the three-dot menu in the top left corner and download the interaction as a text file.

Before you begin

For mobile apps, make sure you have the latest SDK version:

• ADA Android SDK Version: 1.5.7
• ADA React Native SDK Version: 2.2.0
• ADA iOS SDK Version: 1.4.2

📝 Note: If you're running an older version of the Ada mobile SDK, the Download Transcript button will appear in the three-dot menu, but it won't be functional. To fix this, update the Ada mobile SDK to the latest version.

Configure Download Transcript

This is required in order for the Download Transcript button to appear in the chat window.

1. In your Ada dashboard Settings, under Bot Setup, click Bot Customization.
2. Click General.
3. Under Chat Transcript, switch the Allow chatters to download transcript toggle on.
4. Click Save Changes.

How to download the chatter transcript

Chatters can download the transcript of their conversation from the options menu in the chat window.

• At the top of the chat window, click the three-dot button to open the options menu, then click Download Transcript. This opens your device's file save dialog box to save your transcript file.
